My friend Doug sent this YouTube video to me. I am only a casual Johnny Cash fan, but I love his story and was moved by how his music can impact so many even after his death. But it served as a reminder to me of the impact of art on pulling people together. I know that masterpieces have been created by individual artists, but there is something special about art that is born out of a collaborative effort. It is beautiful how it can build community. I think that is why worship is so powerful in our lives and faith experiences. There is just something special about sharing together the majesty of reflecting back the creativity born in our Creator.
